STANISIC ASSOCIATES is design-based practice focusing on architecture, urbanism and interiors. It is an energetic, inner city practice with a demonstrated record in the design of intelligent, urban apartments. The practice is committed to the continuing evolution of urban culture in Sydney through the transformation of the living and working environment.
The architecture of the practice is focused on urban housing but also includes mixed use projects, educational buildings, street design, urban master plans, DCPs and interior design. The practice has designed apartment and mixed-use projects throughout metropolitan Sydney. Most projects incorporate courtyards, slender-line building forms, gallery access, cross-over planning and multi-storey or maisonette plans with sky terraces to achieve a achieve a balance between personal comfort and energy consumption. Projects obsessively explore the qualities of space, light, sun and materiality to produce a climatically responsive modernism - Eco-minimalism.
The Design Director of the practice is Frank Stanisic, former Vice-President Education of the NSW RAIA. He maintains practice, professional and teaching commitments. He has been teaching for over 15 years in undergraduate design studios and masters programs at the architecture schools at the Universities of UTS, Sydney, UNSW and Newcastle. Frank Stanisic was the master planner for Green Square, the largest urban renewal project in Australia.
STANISIC ASSOCIATES currently consists of 20 professional staff experienced in all aspects of architecture interior design and urbanism from DCP, Master Plan, concept to construction advice. Frank is supported by project and senior architects, collectively experienced in architecture, interior and urban design. The IT system and CAD are managed by a dedicated and experienced Graphic Designer and IT Manager.
STANISIC ASSOCIATES is skilled in the management and operation of CAD facilities, utilising Vector Works and Revit on a Mac/PC platform. The practice has successfully completed the design and documentation of a range of projects from 50,000 sqm Nanhui University China, 38,000sqm mixed use city project and to 275 hectare Structural Master Plan at Green Square.
